We're an active organisation supporting the heritage of Coleorton in many ways including research, publications, talks, promoting today's Coleorton community, and we need funds to support these.

Our projects include:

We also help with enquiries from people locally, country-wide and international who are researching their family roots.

Please help us continue to support heritage in Coleorton - for present and future residents and families - by making a donation.

You can donate using "Give-as-you-live" platform:

Another way to help raise funds for the Heritage Group is via the Give-as-You-Live scheme. When you purchase something on-line from any of 6000 on-line retailers (inc Tescos, Booking.com, Sainsburys, John Lewis) they will donate a percentage of the sale value to us. You don't pay anything extra. Take a look >>

Alternatively you can pay using PayPal or most cards. Click on the Donate button below.

We can apply for grants for some projects. However, there are often restrictions on what organisations will pay for. For example, there are costs associated with acquisition of St John's Chapel such as Bat survey and planning applications which they will not offer grants for until we become the owners, and the diocese require planning permissions before transferring ownership (Catch-22!). So we need to use our own funds and donations to cover these. Your help will get us there quicker.

We are a registered charity no. 1207571.

The Coleorton Heritage Group

The Coleorton 2000 Committee was initiated in 1998 to devise a way of commemorating the new millennium. We developed the Millennium Garden in a plot of land kindly donated by Joan Cull, erected a commemorative sign and organised various associated celebrations and events.

More recently the group has been concerned with researching, recording and making publicly available local heritage, social, industrial and family history. So the name was changed to "The Coleorton Heritage Group".
